In 1987 Carter Porter founded C&P Woodworking.  After a decade of using his talents to help other companies succeed, it was time to step out on his own.  In the early days C&P was operated out of the unfinished 2nd floor of the family home.  The small space created some unique challenges.  Carrying sheet upon sheet of unfinished material up a flight of stairs and then hauling the finished products back down made for some long days and at times even longer nights.  But, through hard work and persistence, the young business soon outgrew the confines of its home.   C&P Woodworking was relocated a few miles down the road to a larger facility that could handle the growth of the business and have room for employees.  In its new location, C&P became a household name in the commercial casework industry.  As both his business and family grew, Carter knew long term success dictated another move.  In 1992 Carter and his wife Paula bought a property just north of Fort Wayne that not only was to be their new home, but also had space for the flourishing business.  For the last 28 years C&P has been located in Auburn, Indiana.  Though the times, faces and the business climate has changed, the dedication to providing the highest quality work, delivering on time and servicing our clients before, during and after the projects has not.

The current team at C&P has nearly 100 years of experience in the fabrication of casework.  Plastic laminate could be considered the specialty, but definitely not the only area we excel.

We are also experts in the fabrication of all things solid surface!  From basic cabinets and counter tops to the most complicated reception desk, we do it all!
